CD – A Day at the Lake
Combining the fiery edge of the Scottish Border pipes with the rich sounds of the Cape Breton fiddle, Ben Miller and Anita MacDonald join together, merging traditional influences from Cape Breton and Prince Edward Island, as well as the Highlands and Islands of Scotland.
Ben and Anita are joined by friends from the Maritimes and beyond, blending subtle and sympathetic rhythm guitar, with the lush, ethereal sounds of the Scottish harp, or the driving groove of Cape Breton-style piano accompaniment, crafting a full and well rounded sound.
Anita MacDonald – fiddle, vocals, step-dance
Ben Miller – Border pipes, Scottish smallpipes, backing vocals
Dominique Dodge – Scottish harp, backing vocals
Tristan Henderson – guitar, bouzouki, backing vocals
Tyson Chen – Piano

Our social media maven Clare (who is totally not writing this) took over from the boys to celebrate her favourite holiday.
So in the spirit of St. Paddy's day we sat down with three Celtic Musicians from Ottawa -Anna Ludlow, Graham Lindsey and Tyson Chen- sit down to try some smoked beer, talk about the spirit of celtic music, and about brewing your own beer.
